Burkina Faso - 2025
I travelled to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, to provide audio support for the anniversary celebration of the Assemblies of God. The venue was fully equipped using the organisation’s own technical equipment, supplemented with additional gear from a local supplier. The system consisted of a MILO PA combined with Yamaha digital mixing consoles, allowing us to deliver clear and powerful sound across the large outdoor site.
Each gathering began with an extended time of music led by a local band, followed by sermons from speakers from Burkina Faso and other countries. It was an impressive event where faith, music, and technology came together, reaching thousands of people.
Togo - 2024
This outreach took place in Kara, a city in Togo. Despite the heat and the demanding workload, it was once again a remarkable experience to create an unforgettable campaign for the local community in just a few days. Music played a major role throughout the event, with an impressive number of talented musicians creating an energetic and enthusiastic atmosphere.
What made this edition especially challenging was having to manage everything on my own, while relying mainly on hand gestures and improvisation to communicate with the French-speaking crew. Even so, everything came together successfully, making it an experience that left a lasting impression both technically and personally.
Burkina Faso - 2023
I travelled to Koudoudou, Burkina Faso, to provide audio support for a large-scale Christian outreach campaign. This was the second time I had the opportunity to work on this project, once again using the organisation’s own sound system. The site attracted an enormous crowd, with more than 25,000 visitors counted. The actual number was likely even higher, as many people followed the event from their tents further away.
It was remarkable to see people travelling from far and wide to be part of the campaign. The combination of the African atmosphere, the massive turnout, and the powerful message made this an intense and unforgettable project to work on.
Côte d’Ivoire - 2020
I travelled to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, to provide audio support for a large-scale Christian outreach campaign. On an open field in the heart of West Africa, we built the complete technical setup using the organisation’s own equipment. The system consisted of a MILO PA combined with Yamaha digital mixing consoles, delivering clear and powerful sound to thousands of visitors.
Each evening began with an extended time of music led by a local band, followed by an inspiring sermon from David de Vos. Working in Africa was a truly special experience. The atmosphere, the audience, and the energy made it an unforgettable project where technology and faith came together beautifully.
